Page Title Resolving Conflicts

Conflicts are part of our lives because we are all different. But it is important to learn how to resolve conflicts in a nonviolent way. An important feature of early violence prevention is to help adults and children develop the skills and self-control to resolve conflicts with others. These skills involve the ability to see other people's perspectives and feelings, consider different ways of solving a problem—appropriate to the child's age and development—and control emotions to come to a safe and nonviolent solution to the situation.
